VIP JAZZ BENEFIT CRUISE CELEBRATES CLIENT SUCCESSES AND RAISES FUNDS FOR VIP PROGRAMS
On Saturday, May 16, after a week of steady rain, the sun came out for VIP’s 10th Annual Jazz Benefit Cruise. More than 200 guests boarded the spectacular Atlantis cruise ship, with the New York City skyline once again serving as the backdrop to this wonderful community event. Jazz vocalist Carla Cook and the Juilliard Jazz Trio performed with virtuosity and style.
Brandy M., a VIP alumni, held everyone in rapt attention as she spoke about her life before – and after – VIP. Now celebrating nine years of sobriety, and holding not one but two jobs in the social services field – Brandy is reunited with her family, and treasuring her day-to-day involvement with her grandchildren.
Brandy’s success is just one example among the 10,000 men and women each year who come to VIP to overcome challenging circumstances, and build the self-esteem, skills and confidence they need to grow and succeed.
Thank you to all of our sponsors and supporters for making VIP’s 2009 Jazz Benefit Cruise our most successful ever.
