We collaborate with the Institute for Training Outreach and Community Health (InTOuCH) and Columbia University’s Wellness Center to create a healthier environment for all NYC residents. The Community Health Worker Program is a free eight-week training program that follows a hybrid model.  Courses include; Stroke & Heart Disease, Diabetes & Cholesterol, Heart Attack, High Blood Pressure & Smoking, Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Mental Health.

Basic education classes are held 5 days a week to prepare you for the GED test requirements and high school diploma. Click here for our weekly GED cohorts schedule.

Computer lab services are available to learn new skills and for GED preparation. Assessments will be made by trained professional staff.

Via train: 

  1. Take the 2 or 5 train to 174th Street in the Bronx.
  2. Walk north on Southern Blvd. toward Crotona Park East.
  3. Turn left on E. 176th Street and walk four blocks to VIP Community Services at 770 E. 176th St. 

Via buses: 

BX11 & BX21  

  1. Take the BX11 or BX21 to Boston Road/Southern Boulevard
  2. Head northeast on Boston Rd/Edward A. Stevenson Blvd
  3. Continue onto Southern Blvd
  4. Turn left onto Hylan Park and go up the hill
  5. Turn left onto E 175th St 
  6. Turn right onto Marmion Ave
  7. Turn left onto E 176th St
