What is a CCBHC?

The CCBHC model ensures access to coordinated behavioral health care, meaning patients can receive an array of social, medical, and behavioral services at VIP, and we can facilitate referrals to other social services outside of VIP as necessary. As a CCBHC, VIP is required to serve adults, youth, and children with:

• serious and mild behavioral disorders
• substance use disorders
• emotional disturbances

We provide behavioral health and substance use care to everyone who needs it — regardless of ability to pay, insurance status, place of residence, etc.

We offer outpatient care through this model, meaning that all consultations and treatments won’t require an overnight stay. Patients can come in, see a therapist and/or provider, and resume their day-to-day. Our CCBHC is a safe and judgment-free zone.

What is behavioral health?

Behavioral health is the connection between someone’s behaviors, their physical health, and mental wellbeing. There are different types of behaviors like eating habits, sleeping patterns, exercise, smoking, etc., that influence physical and mental health.

We offer treatment for a range of disorders and behaviors for all ages, including:

• Anxiety
• ADHD
• ADD
• Mood swings
• Depression
• Eating disorder
• Personality disorder
• Substance abuse
• Medical interventions
• Smoking cessation
• Individual and group therapy to assist people with smoking cessation
• Medical interventions, including nicotine patches and nicotine gum
