VIP Community Services provides primary care and specialty care to patients of all ages, regardless of ability to pay, and mental health services to patients ages 5 and up. Our providers will assess your health care needs and work with you to ensure you get the services you need.

This health center receives HHS funding and has Federal PHS deemed status with respect to certain health or health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals.

The Wellness Center is an Article 31 Mental Health Outpatient Clinic licensed by New York State Office of Mental Health. Our staff include Licensed Mental Health Counselors, Master Social Workers, Clinical Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Psychiatrists who collaborate to provide clients with necessary treatment to get them to wellness. The following services are available:

  • Crisis Intervention

  • Psychotherapy – Individual/Family/Collateral/Group
  • Psychotropic Medication Treatment/Management
  • Group or family psychotherapy sessions
  • Talk Therapy

Our Ryan White Wellness Program provides integrated, HIV focused mental health treatment along with preventive and supportive services for clients living with HIV/AIDS and mental illness. This program aims to improve client’s adherence to treatment for physical, mental, and behavioral health problems. A unique feature of the program is that all services can be provided off-site and in the client’s home.

We accept referrals from all VIP programs, community partners, hospitals, schools, and individuals who seek care. We assist clients in goal setting and help them decide on their course of treatments. When appropriate and with client consent, our staff works cooperatively with other service providers to coordinate care.


VIP Community Services provides care to all patients regardless of their ability to pay. We accept Medicaid, Medicare, sliding fee discounts, and select private insurance (including Healthfirst, MetroPlus, Fidelis, Visiting Nurse Service of New York, and Empire BlueCross BlueShield).
